Job summary

Qualifications

• Twelve months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment.
• Licensed RN in Texas with permanent Texas license within 60 days if establishing residency.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Preferred: Magnet, ACLS training.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care and conducts nursing assessments.
• Collaborates with physicians and interprofessional health care team to plan and coordinate care.
• Demonstrates clinical competence in nursing processes, medication administration, and emergencies.
• Participates in or leads unit governance initiatives and serves as charge nurse or preceptor as needed.
