Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and documents patient interactions and observations.
• Demonstrates advanced practice competency.
• Maintains accurate medication and treatment records.

• Participates in policy/procedure development and standards of care.
• Represents nurses on committees and task forces.
• Begins discharge planning upon admission and involves patient and support network.
• Manages own work, prioritizes assignments, and adapts to changing demands.
• Provides feedback to staff and leadership.
• Precepts students and new staff as needed.
• Acts as Charge or Resource Nurse when required.
• Initiates unit-level projects impacting patient care and safety.
• Adheres to policies and safeguards university assets.
