Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 3 North West Advanced Medical and Neurological unit. The RN will assess patient needs, plan and implement care, and collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered services.

The unit handles telemetry and med-surg patients and supports pre- and post-operative care. The RN is accountable for delivering safe, effective care and for leadership within the nursing team.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• Preferred certification in nursing specialty.
• CPR certification and background clearances required (Act 34/33/73 and FBI).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff capabilities.
• Supervise LPNs and ensure safe, effective patient care assignments.
• Promote patient safety initiatives and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
