Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Security Control Assessor (SCA) to join the NGAD team at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.

The role involves comprehensive assessment of management, operational, and technical security controls across Collateral, SCI, and SAP environments to ensure effective security and compliance with RMF/JSIG guidelines. The SCA will advise the ISO/IDO/PSO/DAO on assessment issues, review authorization packages, and develop SAR and POA&Ms.

Qualifications

• 7 years related experience required; 9 years' highly desired.
• Prior performance in roles such as System, Network Administrator or ISSO.
• 1 year SAP Experience required.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in SAP, SCI or Collateral Information Systems Security.
• Prior performance in the role of ISSO and ISSM.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4 years).

Responsibilities

• Perform oversight of the development, implementation and evaluation of IS security program policy; special emphasis on SAP network infrastructure.
• Perform assessment of ISs based on RMF in accordance with JSIG.
• Advise ISO, IDO, PSO, and DAO/AO on assessment issues.
• Evaluate Authorization packages and recommend to AO/DAO.
• Evaluate IS threats and vulnerabilities to determine additional safeguards.
• Advise Government on impact levels for C,I,A.
• Prepare SAR for Authorization boundary and document results.
• Initiate POA&M with weaknesses for each boundary assessed.
• Provide written recommendations for security authorization to Government.
• Discuss authorization and submit package to AO/DAO.
• Assess changes to Authorization boundaries environment.
• Review sanitization procedures per government guidance.
• Assist Government with security incidents and ensure corrective measures.
• Ensure SDLC phases are followed and security is integrated.
• Evaluate hardware/software security impact on boundaries.
• Evaluate effectiveness of Continuous Monitoring Plans.
