Job summary

Akira Technologies is seeking a Senior RMF Specialist/ISSO to support the U.S. Army AMC at Rock Island Arsenal, IL.

The role requires expert RMF/ATO experience, TS/SCI clearance, and hands-on use of eMASS and vulnerability tools to guide DoD information systems through the RMF lifecycle. The successful candidate will work with system owners, security teams, assessors, and authorized officials to ensure compliance and maintain an authorized security posture in DoD environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years DoD RMF/ATO experience.
• Hands-on RMF lifecycle across DoD systems.
• Experience with ACAS/Nessus and SCAP.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Current IAT Level II or equivalent.
• DoD 8570/8140 compliant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead RMF lifecycle from categorization to continuous monitoring.
• Guide system owners to meet RMF and ATO requirements.
• Maintain RMF docs: SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms.
• Manage RMF lifecycle in eMASS.
• Coordinate ATO packages and AO reviews.
• Perform continuous monitoring and vulnerability tracking.
• Perform vulnerability assessments with ACAS/Nessus.
• Document remediation and close findings.
• Advise senior stakeholders on risk.
• Stay updated on DoD policies (NIST SP 800-53, RMF).
• Maintain TS/SCI clearance.
