Akira Technologies Inc. is seeking a Team Lead / Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support the U.S. Army at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama. The role blends contract performance oversight with hands-on RMF/ATO responsibilities to ensure DoD cybersecurity compliance.

The position requires an active TS/SCI clearance, strong leadership and risk management skills, and experience with eMASS, ACAS/Nessus, and STIG remediation to maintain secure, compliant systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 8+ years of DoD IT program management experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on ISSO experience with RMF, eMASS, A&A, STIG remediation.
• Experience with budget oversight, staff management, risk mitigation, and subcontractor coordination.
• Experience supporting DoD cybersecurity compliance and maintaining ATOs.
• DoD 8570/8140 aligned certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+).
• PMP certification preferred.
• Proficiency with RMF, eMASS, and vulnerability management tools.
• Knowledge of NIST controls, ATO requirements, continuous monitoring, and STIGs.
• Clearance: active TS/SCI.

Responsabilités

• Serve as primary contractor lead and liaison to government leadership.
• Oversee contract performance, milestones, and service expectations.
• Develop and maintain a Program Management Plan (scope, schedules, resources, budget).
• Coordinate staffing and resource allocation to meet contract requirements.
• Monitor costs and mitigate risks; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure timely submission of contract deliverables and reports.
• Perform hands-on ISSO duties across the RMF lifecycle (security controls, assessment, authorization, monitoring).
• Prepare RMF authorization packages, manage eMASS workflows, and coordinate A&A activities.
• Monitor security compliance, analyze vulnerability scans (ACAS/Nessus, SCAP), coordinate STIG remediation.
• Track control effectiveness, vulnerabilities, and remediation activities.
