Job summary

Senior Cybersecurity Engineer - RMF/ISSE Lead in Sterling, VA, leads a small team of Security Engineers to implement and sustain robust security across DoD/IC programs. You will guide RMF activities, ensure secure SDLC integration, and mentor staff.

You will oversee documentation, A&A tracking, and continuous monitoring using Xacta/eMASS, Nessus, and similar tools, aligning with NIST and CNSSI standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 10+ years with ISSE/ISSO responsibilities, preferably in DoD/IC.
• Experience achieving IATT/ATO on DoD or IC programs.
• Strong leadership and mentoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead 3–5 Security Engineers; manage timelines and performance.
• Design secure architectures for web apps, WAFs, IDS/IPS, and anti-malware.
• Oversee RMF steps 1–6 and guide ATO processes.
• Develop and review A&A docs using Xacta/eMASS.
