SMS is seeking a Risk & Vulnerability Assessment SME to join our Department of Education contract on a full-time, on-site basis in Washington, DC. The role focuses on in-depth risk analysis, secure systems guidance, and collaboration with federal stakeholders to protect critical missions.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in risk assessment, a IT or Cybersecurity degree, CISSP or equivalent certification, and holds a DOE security clearance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Risk & Vulnerability Assessment experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or Cybersecurity.
• Senior certification such as CISSP or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Domain and expert technical knowledge.
• Decision making and domain knowledge critical to projects.
• Experience managing a team preferred.
• Holds a DOE security clearance/Public Trust.

Responsabilités

• Serve as subject matter expert with in-depth knowledge of a domain.
• Provide technical analysis of specialized applications and environments.
• Participate in all software development phases with emphasis on planning, analysis, testing, integration, and documentation.
• Apply advanced mathematical principles to engineering and scientific problems to arrive at automated solutions.
• Provide technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
• Establish goals and plans that meet project objectives.
• Direct and control activities for a client with financial and staffing responsibility.
• Interact in client negotiations and interface with senior management.
