Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York seeks an Associate in Global Private Bank Risk to support risk strategy execution for the U.S. Private Bank. You will partner with risk, compliance and business teams to identify risks, strengthen governance, and produce leadership materials.

You will gather inputs on new initiatives, track actions across workstreams, and help ensure regulatory and policy adherence with timely risk insights.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in banking/financial services, risk management, controls, strategy, project management, or a related function.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear and timely work products.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and shifting priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while escalating where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Support reviews of new business initiatives and product changes by gathering inputs, documenting key risks, and tracking actions.
• Build relationships with partners across Risk, Compliance, and the business to ensure effective execution and follow-through.
• Contribute ideas to improve team workflows through reporting, technology, and analytics.
• Help drive delivery of the risk agenda by tracking milestones, preparing status updates, and coordinating across workstreams.
• Support assessment activities tied to regulatory expectations, legal obligations, and internal policy adherence.
• Contribute to efforts to streamline and standardize key processes (e.g., drafting procedures, creating trackers, supporting reporting improvements).
• Prepare and quality-check materials for risk leadership forums and committees (e.g., slides, meeting packs, action logs).
• Coordinate responses to routine and time-sensitive ad hoc requests (e.g., data pulls, summaries, and briefing notes).
• Support risk training and communications (e.g., logistics, content drafting, maintaining distribution lists and materials repositories).
