Job summary

Apollo Global Management, a leading global alternative asset manager, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer for our New York office. You will join the Investment Engineering risk team to build scalable risk management software supporting trading and investment decisions.

We value hands-on development with Python and Java, strong database skills, and experience delivering full-stack applications in Agile settings. This role reports to the Risk Tech group in NYC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of technology experience, including at least 3 years in a trading environment.
• Proven track record of building and deploying risk management software in production for end-of-day and live risk.
• Hands-on development experience with Python and Java; web development is a plus.
• Experience with risk factor modeling, P&L attribution, and scenario analysis.
• Strong database skills (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data management.
• Familiarity with Kafka and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Git).
• Experience delivering full-stack applications in Agile environments.
• Collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to balance priorities.
• Ability to partner across levels and business areas.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement risk management applications.
• Deliver reliable, well-tested code in Agile environment.
• Support full software lifecycle: analysis, coding, deployment, enhancements.
• Partner with risk managers, traders, and portfolio managers to translate needs.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, knowledge sharing.
• Troubleshoot issues, provide production support, improve reliability.
• Build new tools and integrate internal/external data into Apollo risk infra.
• Mentor junior developers.
