Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Senior Safety & Health Specialist for Turquoise Ridge Operations to lead risk assessment, control verification, and safety program development. The role focuses on hazard identification, risk reduction, and regulatory compliance in a high-hazard mining environment.

The successful candidate will mentor teams, support inspections, and drive continuous safety improvements aligned with company goals and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, Occupational Health, Risk Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field with 6+ years of experience preferred; or
• Associate degree with 9+ years of experience preferred; or
• 8–12 years of relevant industry experience with leadership in Safety & Health preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MSHA regulations required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical advisor on safety risk management and critical control management.
• Lead Team-Based and formal risk assessments to identify hazards and verify controls.
• Develop and improve risk management strategies, processes, and tools.
• Provide guidance to supervisors and employees on hazard identification and risk assessment methodologies.
