Job summary

State Treasurer's Office is seeking a Risk Management & Compliance Manager to identify and mitigate organizational risks while ensuring governance, risk, and compliance across the agency. You will lead audits, analyze complex financial data, and coordinate security and access controls with internal teams and external partners.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least seven years of progressive experience in accounting, auditing, or finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least seven years of progressive experience in accounting, auditing, finance, risk management, governance, and/or other relevant experience.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws, rules and regulations related to the programs being audited.
• Ability to interpret and analyze complex accounting and financial data, reach determine pertinent facts, reach reasonable conclusions and propose solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex financial records, transactions, and data to identify irregularities and assist other State Agencies by providing factual information, technical assistance, and support for resolution of issues.
• Schedule audits, assign work to staff, determine time frames, review and approve audit reports, and determine priorities of audits; measure compliance of Aid to Subdivisions funds and maintain internal controls.
• Use STO data and other publicly available information to review irregularities and potential misuse of State Funds; assist in gathering information for Fraud, Waste and Abuse efforts.
• Prepare and manage security plans and perform cyclic access control compliance and risk assessments for STO, vendors and partners.
• Supervise audits of compliance with legislative and administrative requirements, operational audits of STO procedures, and program audits of services.
• Performs other related duties as required.
