Job summary

Payward seeks a seasoned Senior Risk Manager with 10+ years of experience in a CFTC-registered DCO to lead margin, stress testing, and market risk oversight. You will collaborate with clearing operations, technology, compliance, and senior leadership to ensure robust risk management aligned with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of risk management at a CFTC-registered DCO with margin/stress testing ownership.
• Deep knowledge of CFTC Part 39 and related rules (Parts 1, 22, 190).
• Experience in market risk concepts: VaR, ES, scenario analysis, and portfolio risk.
• Experience in margin model design and validation (SPAN family).
• Strong communication skills to present to executives and regulators.
• Bachelor’s in quantitative field; master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead margin modeling and methodology development for cleared products.
• Conduct back-testing, stress testing, and model performance reviews.
• Produce daily/weekly/monthly risk reporting to senior management and regulators.
• Ensure governance & documentation aligned with regulatory expectations.
• Liaise with clearing members, compliance, and technology on risk matters.
• Monitor market risk exposures and support risk committee discussions.
