Job summary

SAS is seeking a software engineer to design, develop and debug diverse software solutions for our Risk Engine and related systems. You will collaborate with managers, developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers to ensure functionality meets requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities include creating integration routines, maintaining data schemas, and validating new features while following R&D best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Financial Mathematics, or related quantitative field is required.
• Requires knowledge of financial risk management concepts including Asset Liability Management, IRRBB, and Market Risk.
• Experience with SAS Programming, SAS macros and scripts in SAS Viya or SAS 9.4 Environments.
• Proficiency in Golang, Python or Groovy, and Angular/TypeScript.
• Experience with database interactions in PostgreSQL, Oracle or similar relational DBs.
• Experience with Kubernetes and public cloud provider technologies.
• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD concepts.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and debugs software for new and existing SAS products.
• Ensures quality through functional, unit and performance testing and collaborates with testers.
• Creates integration routines between SAS Risk Engine and legacy third party cashflow engine.
• Authors and maintains database schemas to simulate and benchmark financial systems.
• Develops and maintains validation suites for new Risk Engine features.
• Works with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met and timelines followed.
