Job summary

Ascendant Program Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Risk Analyst to support a multi-year contract with the U.S. Trade & Development Agency. Based in Arlington, VA, the role emphasizes project management, risk assessment, and enhanced due diligence to guide funding decisions.

The candidate will conduct in-depth investigations, manage DD projects, and advise on best practices while coordinating with internal teams and government staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred in related fields.
• 5+ years of due diligence research or risk assessment experience.
• 2+ years of research training or quality control review.
• Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills and regional knowledge are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management support for due diligence projects, coordinating and reviewing reports.
• Assess risks identified in due diligence and provide mitigation recommendations to support decision-making.
• Coordinate with researchers and program staff to identify key individuals and entities relevant to proposed projects.
• Review due diligence questionnaires and reports for completeness and accuracy.
• Conduct enhanced due diligence including AML, sanctions, bribery and corruption reviews.
• Prepare written summaries of findings, red flags, risks, and recommendations.
• Present investigative findings to regional teams and senior leadership.
