Job summary

Capital One in McLean, VA is seeking a Senior Risk Specialist to strengthen our Retail Bank Office Control Testing program across Retail Bank, Premium Products, Capital One Shopping and Enterprise Payments. You will collaborate with business owners and risk partners to design and validate controls, perform remediation validations, and drive improvements across the first line of defense.

You will communicate clearly, apply analytical thinking, and exercise sound judgment while gaining expertise

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in Control Testing or Risk Management.
• At least 1 year of Financial Services, Audit, or Risk Management experience.
• At least 1 year of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business Process Owners and Risk Advisors to assess control activities and recommend control enhancements.
• Engage and advise on designing effective controls in our control environment related to business risks and regulatory requirements.
• Identify remediation of gaps in the control environment due to regulatory and internal policy updates.
• Support remediation validation and reporting to executives and stakeholders.
