Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Risk Manager for the Global Payment Network (GPN) Controls Advisory Team to guide controls strategy and modernization across the business.

You will partner with risk, compliance, and product teams, drive automation of controls, and build a scalable advisory function to support the GPN unit. Strong leadership and cross‑defense collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience.
• 5+ years of risk management experience with control creation, testing, methodology and design best practices.
• Experience partnering with internal business clients.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to mitigate risk and improve processes.
• CRMA or CRCM certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact for controls-related projects to advise on new control builds and modernization.
• Drive automations and improvements of control processes where appropriate.
• Develop a scalable controls advisory function and framework for the GPN business.
• Ensure alignment of first-line controls with regulations, risks, and policies.
• Partner with second and third lines of defense for cohesive control environment.
