Job summary

Southern California Edison is seeking a Business Controls, Senior Advisor to lead quality reviews, risk assessments and to develop and implement targeted regulatory and operational controls. You will coordinate with auditors, technical experts and stakeholders to ensure controls are effective and compliant.

This hybrid California role requires on-call participation in Incident Management Team activities, cross‑functional collaboration with operations, finance and technology, and reporting to

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of experience implementing policies, processes, controls, and system improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develops SOX, regulatory, and operational controls.
• Leads quality management activities, including liaising with internal/external auditors.
• Analyzes unique and complex technical problems and delivers solutions where precedent may not exist.
• Prepares and delivers executive-level presentations and supports other work activities that align with project milestones at an advanced level.
• Provides guidance about work activities to colleagues and consultants.
• Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new controls and quality activities.
• Oversees and ensures company-wide controls, auditing, and risk management steps are implemented.
• Leverages digital tools to identify risks and opportunities as well as to provide strategic recommendations.
• Builds relationships and interacts with peers, managers, system integration (SI) partners, directors, and all levels of leadership to achieve implementation objectives.
• Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders to provide support for key decisions and to secure buy-in to meet business needs.
• Leads cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of business operations software and systems ensuring that business control requirements are met for assigned business process area with quality.
• Challenges the status quo, drives transformational change, and recommends practical solutions that align with implementation goals.
• Analyzes and synthesizes data and process flows, incorporating best practices to support the implementation strategy.
