Job summary

Southern California Edison is seeking an Environmental Quality Assurance Program Lead to oversee the assurance program and lead a team focused on environmental compliance and continuous improvement across the organization.

The role partners with operations and senior management to implement controls, manage contractors, and report findings to regulators, while maintaining records and driving risk reduction.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of experience in environmental and/or related compliance fields and/or permitting.
• Experience with ISO 14001 or equivalent compliance, audit, or risk programs (preferred).
• Experience facilitating and leading cross functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provides subject matter expertise on environmental regulations and risks required to develop environmental compliance and/or service execution and delivery programs.
• Builds and maintains strong working relationships with internal partners and external agencies to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
• Collaborates with operations and senior management to implement environmental controls including programs and procedures.
• Directs multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement environmental programs and permitting requirements.
• Leads procurement for contractor needs including writing the Scope of Work and evaluating bids.
