Job summary

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJG) is seeking a Claims and Risk Consultant in the United States to advocate for complex clients, manage large claims, and coordinate with carriers. You will advise clients and brokers on claims and coverage issues, attend client meetings, review reserves, and report progress. Some travel is required.

The role emphasizes collaboration, strong communication, and the ability to navigate evolving risk landscapes while delivering practical risk solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in Safety, Risk, or Insurance.
• 5 years of related experience and ability to obtain licenses in all states where business is conducted.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Moderate travel required, including some overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Acts as an advocate for complex clients, monitoring large/complex claims and documenting activity.
• Consulting with clients and brokers on claims and coverage issues; facilitating client meetings and claims reviews.
• Negotiating changes in reserves for a positive client outcome by line of coverage.
• Providing status reports and reviewing action plans and reserves with consideration for client costs.
• Researching claims information from clients and carriers and communicating with interested parties.
• Reviewing new or complex claims and formulating a plan of action for favorable resolution.
