Job summary

Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) US Wealth Management is expanding its risk oversight function. The Risk Advice Senior Manager, Business Risk Oversight, will provide risk guidance to product managers and business owners across credit, lending and cash management within Wealth Management.

You will apply professional judgment to solve complex risk problems and collaborate with Compliance, Law, and Enterprise Risk while leading risk-driven projects.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in strategic risk/compliance or product management focusing on credit/lending/cash management products and risk
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong problem solving and leadership with conflict de-escalation abilities
• Organizational skills: multitask, prioritise, delegate
• SIE exam or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and synthesize regulatory, legal, operational and other risk considerations to enable strategic solutions within RBC's risk appetite
• Develop policy requirements and design controls and procedures
• Provide guidance to partners navigating risk governance requirements
• Lead and participate in risk- and business-driven projects
• Collaborate with Compliance, Law Group and Enterprise Risk teams
