Job summary

Elliott Davis is seeking a Senior Associate – Risk Advisory to join our Financial Services Group. You will lead internal audit engagements for fintech and banking clients, mentor junior staff, and help ensure timely, high‑quality advisory work. The role emphasizes engagement execution, client management, and staff development.

You will contribute to risk assessments, scoping, and detailed reporting while upholding firm audit standards and methodologies in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in internal audit, external audit, banking operations, fintech operations, risk management, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of fintech operations and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Execute and lead internal audit engagements across banking and fintech functions.
• Plan and coordinate audit testing activities, including walkthroughs and control testing.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and identify risks.
• Review associate workpapers, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Provide day‑to‑day guidance, coaching, and mentoring to associates.
• Prepare and review audit reports and discuss findings with clients.
• Support managers in engagement planning, risk assessments, and scoping.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes and tools.
