Job summary

Imperium Commodity Search is confidentially retained by a growing US commodity brokerage seeking an experienced RINs Broker to deepen market coverage and build a standalone brokerage book.

The role offers autonomy to determine focus areas, while collaborating with desks covering physical biofuels, carbon and environmental products. A strong network and proven revenue generation are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Experience broking RINs or related renewable fuels markets.
• Strong network across refiners, obligated parties, producers and traders.
• Proven ability to generate brokerage revenue and build long-term client relationships.
• Understanding of Renewable Fuel Standard, RIN generation and retirement, and regulatory drivers.
• Entrepreneurial, self-directed and capable of establishing opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a profitable RINs brokerage book.
• Facilitate transactions among market participants.
• Provide timely bids, offers, and market color.
• Maintain and grow client relationships and identify new counterparties.
• Monitor RFS developments and regulatory changes for clients.
• Collaborate with brokers across physical biofuels and environmental products.
• Onboard new clients and establish trading lines with operations and compliance.
• Help shape longer-term direction of the RINs desk and potential team expansion.
• Represent the business at industry meetings and events.
