Job summary

Salt Lake City Corporation seeks an Engineer VI – Right of Way Program Manager to lead the Development Services Division’s Right of Way efforts. You will coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, guiding reviews and permitting of city road projects while ensuring compliance with standards and public policy.

The role requires a registered professional engineer with extensive civil engineering and program management experience, capable of developing resources, budgets and timelines

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent; 10 years civil engineering experience.
• Six years of supervisory experience over staff.
• PE license from Utah; if out-of-state, must become PE in Utah within six months.
• Valid driver's license or driving privilege card.
• Ability to use computers, prepare/ present complex reports and publish articles in engineering publications.
• Membership in ASCE or equivalent professional organization.

Responsibilities

• Plans, designs, constructs and operates major engineering projects or programs.
• Supervises subordinate technical staff and assigns work.
• Represents the department on committees and liaises with other agencies.
• Prepares project scopes, budgets, scheduling and phasing.
• Monitors bidding procedures and reviews project status.
• Develops project policies and procedures.
