Job summary

QBE, LLC is seeking a Senior RHEL Engineer at Fort Gordon, GA to analyze, engineer and improve Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems and the OpenShift virtualization platform behind Scalable GEOINT. You will automate and improve systems, troubleshoot problems, and deliver properly configured virtual servers to GEOINT sites.

The role requires 7–10+ years in systems administration/engineering, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and DoDM 8140.03 baseline plus CE certification before privileged access.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of experience in systems administration/engineering.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Significant systems analysis experience and expert knowledge of virtualization technologies, specifically Red Hat OpenShift.
• DoDM 8140.03 baseline certification and CE certification before privileged access.

Responsibilities

• Dig into technical, business and data processing problems and turn findings into better computer systems.
• Translate user requirements and pain points into automation and improvements to existing systems.
• Assess system capabilities, workflows and scheduling limits, and recommend commercial software that closes the gaps.
• Bring planning, resource allocation, leadership and coordination skills to keep people and work moving.
• Help configure hosted enterprise virtual servers with the right storage, redundancy, networking and virtual hardware.

QBE is looking for a Senior RHEL Engineer at Fort Gordon, GA, to analyze, engineer and improve the Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems and OpenShift virtualization platform behind Scalable GEOINT.
