Job summary

SpaceX seeks a driven Yield Engineer for RF final test integration within Starlink/Akoustis. The role correlates wafer data with RF test results, driving root-cause analysis, process improvements, and robust test solutions in a high-mix RF environment.

You will lead test programs, mentor technicians, and collaborate with design and operations teams to optimize yield and test coverage across wafer probe and final test stages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, materials science, or other STEM discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in RF testing, yield engineering, or semiconductor manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement RF test cases and calibration procedures for BAW filter devices operating in the 2 GHz to >10 GHz range
• Establish linkages between wafer probe data and final RF test performance, driving root cause analysis
• Use SPC and DOE to monitor, control, and improve yield across the manufacturing flow
• Develop and maintain CoO and risk models to evaluate probe test strategies
• Sustain and optimize workflow and throughput in a high-mix RF test work center
• Collaborate with design teams to provide feedback on DFM and yield optimization opportunities
• Lead and mentor test operators, ensuring proper execution of test plans
• Support installation and qualification of new test tools
• Work with operations and vendors to resolve equipment and process issues
• Create and maintain SOPs, engineering instructions, and test documentation
