Job summary

Vitesse Systems in Longmont, Colorado, is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to collaborate with RF and Mechanical Engineers to develop Test Plans, Test Procedures, test data processing, and Test Readiness Review packages.

The role involves assisting technicians with setup and execution of tests to verify performance against customer specifications and providing training and troubleshooting support to Test Technicians.

Qualifications

• Programming/scripting skills are required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Good data management and bookkeeping capabilities are required.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Extensive RF test knowledge and measurement techniques are required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, perform and ensure quality of RF bench, near/far field radiation patterns, PIM, high RF power, thermal vacuum tests and other tests per procedures.
• Develop test requirements and verification methods with RF, Mechanical, and Systems Engineering teams.
• Identify testing methods and test fixturing for risk mitigation and verification testing.
• Review and approve Test Plans, Procedures, and Test Reports with cross-functional teams.
• Debug test issues and review data as they arise.
• Coordinate/test layout models and drawings with RF and Mechanical Designers.
• Generate Test Readiness Review (TRR) packages and support customer reviews.
• Review customer specifications to ensure meetable test requirements.
• Produce and review test plans, procedures and reports.
• Assist with technical proposals.
• Develop methods to efficiently process data and control RF test equipment.
• Provide project support including design reviews, data reviews and production support.
• Provide training and mentoring to junior test engineers.
• Create/update I&T-related work instructions and processes.
