Job summary

Albedo is seeking an experienced RF/communications engineer to design and validate space-ground links across S-, X-, and Ka-bands. You will lead radio development from concept through integration and test, collaborating with software and FPGA teams.

The role requires strong EM knowledge, RF circuit design skills, and hands-on lab work. This is a lab-heavy, onsite position at the Broomfield, CO HQ with relocation support if needed.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering (M.S. preferred) and 5+ years RF/communications experience.
• Strong electromagnetics fundamentals, antenna gain and link margin analysis.
• Experience with analog and RF circuit design, and RF lab testing.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture.

Responsibilities

• Own space-ground/space-space communication link design across S-band, X-band, and Ka-band.
• Lead full radio development from concept to test with software and FPGA teams.
• Develop RF link budgets, design RF circuits, and select COTS hardware.
