Job summary

Terran Orbital in Irvine, CA is seeking an experienced RF systems engineer to drive supplier management, define spacecraft RF requirements, and oversee integration of RF front-end, modem, GNSS, and digital conversion components. You will collaborate across avionics, mission systems, and manufacturing to meet performance, environmental, and reliability targets.

The role requires 5+ years in RF/hardware, strong analysis of RF data, and eligibility for U.S. DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in RF systems engineering, communications systems, or related hardware development.
• Working knowledge of RF front-end components, modem systems, GNSS, and link-level performance.
• Experience managing technical suppliers or subcontractors.
• Ability to interpret RF test data, engineering drawings, and system requirements.
• Eligible for U.S. DoD security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier & vendor management with RF and communication subsystems.
• Develop and manage RF system requirements and integration activities.
• Coordinate engineering across avionics, mission systems, and manufacturing.
• Ensure RF designs meet mission performance, environmental, and reliability requirements.
