Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Principal Engineer for RF frequency and timing systems in Mount Holly Springs, PA. This on-site role leads projects from concept to production, designing robust oscillators for harsh environments and coordinating with reliability, process, and quality teams.

The qualified candidate has 10+ years in RF design, knowledge of MIL-STD standards, and proficiency with RF test equipment and simulation tools. Excellent collaboration and ownership are essential.

Qualifications

• US Person per export controls requirement.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years design experience in RF electronics.
• Knowledge of RF circuits, oscillator circuits, control loops and PLL circuits.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-202, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-810.
• Ability to use circuit, mechanical, and thermal simulation tools.
• Ability to use lab measurement equipment such as network analysers, phase noise analysers, spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes and environmental equipment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with cross functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design ownership of an entire project from concept to production release, including simulations and documentation.
• Design oscillators and related products for harsh shock and vibration environments.
• Support reliability, process and quality teams during and after product development.
