Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Mount Holly Springs, PA, seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer for the Frequency and Timing Systems team. You will design RF circuits, mechanical/thermal aspects, reliability, and manufacturability for precision oscillators.

Onsite role; requires US Person, a BS in EE, and 10+ years RF design experience. You will collaborate with reliability, process, and quality teams throughout product development and validation.

Qualifications

• US Person.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years design experience in RF electronics industry.
• Knowledge of RF circuits, oscillator circuits, control loops, PLL circuits and related components used in these types of circuits.
• Knowledge of military standards (MIL-STD-202, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-810).
• Ability to use simulation tools for circuit design, mechanical design, and thermal design.
• Ability to use lab measurement equipment such as network analyzer, phase noise analyzer, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope and environmental equipment such as shock and vibration tables.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Self-driven to lead and complete projects within established commitment times.
• Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate interaction with cross functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design ownership of an entire project, from concept to production release. This process includes conceptual design, electrical thermal and mechanical simulations, schematic capture to drive PCB design, prototype evaluation, and release to manufacturing with supporting documentation.
• Design oscillators and related products to be used in a harsh shock and vibration environment.
• Support other functional groups including reliability engineering, process engineering, and quality during and after the product development.
