Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks an experienced RF Systems Engineer to join our team in McLean, VA or El Segundo, CA. You will lead the design, development, integration, and testing of RF collection, geolocation, and EW systems, bridging hardware, firmware, and SDR/DSP layers.

You will conduct trade studies, perform RF simulations with tools like Ansys STK, HFSS, FEKO, or MATLAB, and guide system-level requirements through verification. TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years RF and systems engineering experience across design, development, integration, and testing of RF hardware/software.
• Experience with RF simulation platforms and link budget analysis; DSP algorithms.
• Experience leading PDRs/CDRs and test readiness/acceptance reviews.
• Experience performing trade studies or analyses of alternatives.
• Experience creating technical reports, whitepapers, and project documents.
• Knowledge of engineering documentation processes and systems requirements.
• Ability to present technical solutions clearly to stakeholders.
• TS/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system-level requirements for RF systems, ensuring traceability from concept to subsystem specs.
• Conduct trade studies to evaluate design options, margins, and feasibility.
• Model RF designs with EM tools to optimize performance and link budgets.
• Lead concept development, architecture, and detailed design of integrated RF systems.
• Drive integration, testing and debugging across hardware, firmware, and OS.
• Author test plans and lead system validation and verification.
• Act as the primary technical interface for multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Support risk management and TPM tracking through the program lifecycle.
