Job summary

Comet is seeking a Senior RF System Validation Engineer at our San Jose site to lead performance characterization of High-Power RF Matching Systems and related modules. You will design automated tests, collect large data sets, and report results to stakeholders to drive improvements.

Ideal candidates have RF and control systems expertise, hands-on testing experience, Python scripting, and strong data-analysis capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering with RF and control systems emphasis.
• Experience in systems development, preferably with semiconductor manufacturing hardware.
• Hands-on experience with RF test equipment including VNA, signal generators, power meters, spectrum analyzers, and scopes.
• Experience with Python scripting to automate design validation tests and data analysis.
• Strong data analysis skills and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Define, design, and execute performance characterizations of High-Power RF Matching Systems.
• Develop, adapt, troubleshoot, and run automated tests for comprehensive product performance characterization.
• Review data and conclusions with internal stakeholders and drive test-method improvements.
• Develop and use automated tools for data collection and analysis of large data sets.
• Troubleshoot test stations and data analysis results.
