Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a highly skilled Communications Systems Architect to lead end-to-end communication system solutions for satellite, UAV, and space platforms. The role requires translating mission needs into complete architectures encompassing antennas, RF, digital processing, software, and interfaces, while balancing performance, risk, and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical solutions as the primary architect for pursuits.
• Define comms system architectures spanning antennas, RF front ends, digital processing, beamforming, and interfaces.
• Lead with technical depth while guiding other engineering domains.
• Translate mission objectives into differentiated technical solutions with customers.
• Lead architectural trades across performance, cost, schedule, and risk.
• Shape product strategy and identify opportunities to leverage existing tech.
• Lead technical capture and proposals with clear architecture and trades.
• Establish the technical baseline with requirements and verification approaches.
• Support program formation including SOWs, requirements, and Make/Buy.
• Transition solutions into execution and communicate rationale to teams.
• Provide technical leadership across RF, antenna, digital, FPGA, software, mechanical, and test.
• Represent solutions to customers and internal stakeholders.
