Job summary

Northstrat is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to own the reliability of fielded and in-production RF EW systems. You will lead reliability predictions, FMECA, and failure analysis, partnering with manufacturing, test, and sustainment teams to maintain and improve RAM throughout production and field deployments.

The role requires 8+ years of RF reliability experience, active clearance, and a bachelor’s in a related field.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of reliability engineering experience on RF/microwave or wireless hardware.
• Active Secret or higher clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Physics or related field.
• Experience on defense/aerospace or regulated/high-reliability hardware programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as reliability technical lead for fielded and in-production EW RF systems.
• Perform reliability predictions and modeling (MTBF/MTTF, RAM) using MIL-HDBK-217.
• Lead FMEA/FMECA; translate findings to production/process improvements.
• Plan and analyze qualification and ongoing reliability testing per MIL-STD-810 and program specs.
• Conduct root-cause and failure analysis; drive closed-loop corrective action (FRACAS).
• Apply derating and thermal management analysis for high-power EW RF components.
• Own component sustainment and obsolescence risk management.
• Build reliability growth models and support RAM program performance.
