Phased n Research is seeking a senior RF/Radar Engineer to provide radar engineering expertise supporting US Air Force threat systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or closely related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant radar-engineering experience or 6+ years with a Master's.
• Proficiency with MATLAB and/or Python for engineering analysis, modeling, simulation, or algorithm development.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced radar engineering analysis and support threat-data package production by characterizing foreign radar systems and mission-planning threat parameters.
• Derive and assess radar parameters across transmitter, antenna, receiver, waveform, PRI/PRF, signal processing, Doppler and velocity performance, and related system characteristics.
• Apply physics-based engineering methods and modeling to derive technically defensible parameters from incomplete or indirect information.
• Collaborate with radar engineers, intelligence analysts, and software developers to translate radar tradecraft into repeatable AI-assisted analytic workflows.
• Develop, apply, and validate physics-based radar models and computational methods; create MATLAB/Python tools for radar assessments.
• Define references, inputs, assumptions, and acceptance criteria for radar parameter families; maintain traceability of methods and results.
• Provide engineering guidance, mentorship, and technical oversight to junior staff; review complex assessments and reconcile discrepancies.
