Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking an RF PCBA Design and Test Engineer to own the PCB lifecycle for high‑reliability RF/mixed‑signal CCAs and integrated RF systems.

You will define stack‑ups, manage layout governance, tests, and testability features for production circuit cards, collaborating with fabs and CM partners for Class 3 builds.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor’s in EE and 5+ years in RF/microwave PCB development; DoD clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in RF/microwave and mixed-signal PCB development for high-reliability products.
• Proven RF board layout for multi-band front-ends and hybrid stack-ups.
• Proficiency with ECAD suites and RF analysis tools.
• Hands-on RF measurement and data analysis experience.
• Ability to obtain DoD clearance (TS/SCI preferred).

Responsibilities

• Define RF stack- up, impedance, vias, and finish to meet RF targets.
• Partition boards for RF, mixed-signal, digital with proper shielding and thermal management.
• Enforce RF layout rules and high-speed constraints.
• Perform SI/PI/RF simulations and lot bring-up tests.
• Lead schematic capture and DRC/DFM sign-off across PLM.
• Manage design reviews, ECOs, and production release packages.
• Collaborate with PCB fabs/CMs on Class 3 builds.
• Plan acceptance tests and RF interface tests (S-parameters, PAE, EVM).
