We\'re seeking a highly motivated and skilled Lead Systems Engineer to join our Space RF Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) Team. This role involves leading systems engineering tasks for multiple projects and supporting continuous improvement of formal SE capabilities. You will interface with multiple external and internal organizations, including stakeholders and other engineering disciplines, and may lead special projects within SEIT or Engineering.
Lead the effort to capture and manage product requirements, and lead or support standard SE activities in support of two new commercial product lines under development.
Collaborate with the Program Manager, Chief Engineer, RF team, and RF engineers to understand, develop, and document customer needs and system requirements; derive subsystem requirements.
Support system verification and validation efforts.
Create and maintain technical documentation using Word, Excel, and CAMEO.
Participate in company and customer reviews.
Support other engineering disciplines in problem solving and impact analysis.
Provide full SE lifecycle support for changes to product baselines for specific customers.
Bachelor\'s degree in engineering.
8+ years of systems engineering experience.
Working knowledge of the systems engineering processes described in the INCOSE SE Handbook and/or ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288:2023.
Degree in systems engineering.
INCOSE certification (ASEP, CSEP or ESEP).
Experience in model-based systems engineering (MBSE), particularly as related to requirements diagrams and linkage to designs.
Ability to work in an office and production environment (Constant)
Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)

The salary range for this role is $111,500 - $170,000. AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including location, role and responsibilities, work experience, education/training, and key skills.
This position requires access to information subject to ITAR and/or EAR compliance. Applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR, or be eligible for an export license. A U.S. person includes U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or protected individuals. Some positions may require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
