Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Senior RF Payload Engineer to tackle advanced satellite and SIGINT mission analysis within the Electronic Intercepts and Measurements Department at MPD. You will design RF payloads, perform rigorous performance modeling, and guide programs from concept through deployment for national security missions.

You’ll join a diverse, highly accomplished team advising the United States Space Force and other customers.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of hands-on RF engineering and mission analysis
• Master’s or Ph.D. in mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, or related technical discipline
• Proficiency in two or more tools: MATLAB, C/C++, and Python
• Experience in RF payload design for SIGINT systems
• Ability to pivot as mission priorities evolve
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI access
• Occasional domestic travel willingness

Responsibilities

• Drive critical mission success by solving RF payload design and performance challenges
• Innovate at the hardware-software interface with advanced digital modeling
• Lead cross-functional analysis plans and guide concept-to-delivery work
• Shape future space systems by influencing requirements and program direction
• Own payload designs from requirements through deployment and retirement
• Mentor junior engineers to grow the department’s capabilities
