Job summary

Searchability Aerospace & Defense is seeking a senior systems engineer to lead mission systems and RF payload architectures for aerospace and space platforms. You will drive requirements, CONOPS development and end-to-end system integration across airborne and space-based payloads.

The role requires deep knowledge of RF systems, link analysis, antennas and digital beamforming, with experience supporting SRR/PDR/CDR/TRR/ORR and the ability to obtain TS clearance with Polygraph.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of aerospace or space systems engineering experience.
• Experience leading RF payload design for airborne or space platforms.
• Strong knowledge of RF systems, link analysis and antenna systems.
• Experience developing CONOPS and supporting SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR or ORR.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with SSBI and Polygraph.
• Space-based and airborne RF payloads.
• Antennas, receivers and transmitters.
• RF link budgets and spectrum management.
• Digital beamforming and phased arrays.
• Software-defined radios.
• LEO, MEO and GEO mission architectures.
• Environmental qualification including thermal vacuum, vibration and EMI/EMC

Responsibilities

• Lead mission definition, requirements development and architecture trades.
• Develop CONOPS, operational modes and mission scenarios.
• Design RF payload architectures for airborne and space-based platforms.
• Perform link budgets, coverage analysis and interference analysis.
• Lead system integration, verification and major technical reviews.
