Job summary

Tive is seeking an experienced RF/Module Engineer in the Boston area to own hardware design from concept through production and support. You will drive module design choices, carrier approvals, and test coverage while collaborating with vendors and contract manufacturers.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in cellular device engineering, hands-on RF/module expertise, and a track record of successful carrier certification. Office-based or hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cellular device engineering, with hands-on work at RF and module layers.
• Shipped at least one cellular product through full carrier certification.
• Strong antenna and RF fundamentals.
• Fluent in cellular technology and LTE-M/NB-IoT/Cat-1 landscape.
• Comfortable owning ambiguous problems on a small team.

Responsibilities

• Own module design/selection and second-sourcing decisions across platforms.
• Drive carrier certification and network approvals globally.
• Debug field connectivity issues.
• Optimize module power consumption to meet battery life targets.
• Partner with other teams to ensure performance and quality.
• Work with vendors and CMs on test coverage and production yield.
