Job summary

K&L Microwave is seeking an RF/Microwave Filter Design Engineer to develop and analyze microwave filters that meet customer specifications. You will interact with sales on feasibility and pricing, participate in customer visits, and travel as needed to overseas facilities.

The role includes evaluation of orders, BOM coordination, and prototyping oversight. Required are a strong RF/microwave background, ability to interpret drawings, and excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with RF/Microwave focus or 8 years of RF/Microwave filter design experience in at least two topologies.
• Ability to apply calculus, algebra and statistical theory.
• Good organizational and communication skills; reading drawings, blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Designs microwave filters that meet customer specifications.
• Evaluates RFQs and interfaces with sales feasibility and pricing.
• Participates in onsite customer visits and may travel internationally.
• Analyzes filter responses using RF design simulation software.
• Oversees prototyping and supports manufacturing to resolve engineering issues.
• Reads and interprets drawings and customer specifications; develops BOMs.
