Job summary

Kyocera International, Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Senior RF/MW Engineer to develop, test, and validate mmWave and RF technologies within integrated wireless systems.

The role emphasizes passive/active device characterization, OTA testing of horn and phased-array antennas, and automated test setups using Python and MATLAB. You'll lead data-driven analyses, present results, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with design teams to meet performance targets and compliance

Qualifications

• Requires a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of RF/microwave experience.
• Experience designing, testing, and validating RF/microwave circuits and systems.
• Proficiency with Python and MATLAB for data analysis and automated testing.
• Knowledge of 5G FR2 measurements and OTA procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and validate RF/microwave circuits including amplifiers, mixers, filters, and frequency synthesizers.
• Perform RF characterization and data validation using Python and MATLAB; use Power BI for visualization as needed.
• Develop automated test setups and control instrumentation; lead projects and mentor teammates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet system performance targets and compliance standards.
