Job summary

DAS Technology Group seeks a RF & Microwave Design Engineering Manager for its Sacramento location. You will lead a team in designing complex SSPAs and MFMs for defense and space applications, guiding architecture, layout, and test from concept through production.

Requirements include 15+ years in RF/microwave, a BSEE (MSEE preferred), and proficiency with Microwave Office, ADS, HFSS, and related tools. Space products and leadership experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• BSEE is required; MSEE preferred.
• 15+ years in Microwave & RF industry at microwave/mmWave frequencies.
• Experience managing and developing technical employees.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; creative solutions.
• Proficient with electrical design software such as Microwave Office (AWR) or ADS.
• Experience with space products is a plus.
• Lab skills with test equipment; ability to tune and align circuitry.
• Familiar with Matlab, Mathcad, or programming for analyses.

Responsibilities

• Lead RF & Microwave Design Engineering team for SSPAs/MFMs for defense/space.
• Manage personnel development, new proposals, and production release/transition.
• Oversee SSPA and Space Component design group; participate in recruiting.
• Lead RF architectures using chain analysis and frequency planning tools (VSS).
• Design RF components with ADS, MWO, HFSS, Sonnet, Spice, or Cadence.
• Evaluate devices to meet customer requirements (LNA, PA, filters, mixers, etc.).
• Perform trade studies for noise figure, power compression, spurious, and bandwidth.
• Lead PDR/CDR/PRR design reviews; present to management/customers.
• Provide guidance on technology trends and SWaP improvements.
