Job summary

Safran Federal Systems is seeking a senior electrical engineer focused on RF design to design, develop and test PCBs and electrical systems for RF-enabled products. You will lead smaller projects, perform detailed circuit design, and validate RF performance across the system, while collaborating with software, mechanical and manufacturing teams.

The role requires hands-on RF design experience, proficiency with PCB layout and design tools, and the ability to translate component specs into system

Qualifications

• 4+ years with a Bachelor’s, or 2+ years with a Master’s in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Experience in RF and electrical hardware design and validation.
• Hands-on experience in designing and testing RF systems and subsystems.
• Proficiency in PCB layout practices including high-speed design and EMI/EM considerations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, build and test PCB prototypes; lead smaller projects within large design efforts.
• Design, develop and test electrical hardware systems and components for RF-enabled products.
• Perform detailed circuit design, simulation, and analysis (analog, digital, mixed-signal).
• Guide integration, optimization, and testing of RF/photonic subsystems to meet performance targets.
• Develop and maintain electrical component and hardware specifications and design documentation.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
