Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior RF Engineering Technician to support a federal program in Norfolk, VA. The role focuses on RF system testing, integration, and field deployment across lab and operational environments.

You will perform advanced RF testing and validation at component, subsystem, and system levels, with hands-on work on VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and related equipment. Expect CONUS/OCONUS deployment and shipboard environments.

Qualifications

10+ years of RF systems or complex electronic systems experience.
Hands-on RF test equipment experience (VNA, spectrum analyzer, etc.).
Strong RF fundamentals: frequency analysis, impedance, signal loss.
Experience with S-parameter testing (S11/S21).
Ability to read schematics and RF/system documentation.
Linux system administration experience.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced RF component and system-level testing to meet requirements.
Set up and operate RF test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope, meters).
Analyze S-parameter and RF performance (S11/S21, insertion loss, freq response).
Lead system integration, validation, and UAT across lab and field env.
Troubleshoot RF systems and perform root cause analysis.
Support deployment and field testing including maritime platforms.
Develop and maintain test procedures, reports, and training materials.
