Job summary

Secmation seeks an experienced Senior RF Communications Engineer to join a mission-focused team in Huntsville, AL. You will work hands-on on RF systems, SDR, radar, and secure communications from design through integration and field demonstrations.

You will collaborate with DoD customers and engineers across disciplines, using MATLAB/Python for modeling, and C/C++ for embedded work. A hybrid 9/80 schedule and relocation support are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• U.S. citizenship and an active DoD security clearance.
• 8+ years of RF systems, communications, SDR, radar, or EW experience.
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, analyzing, or validating defense RF systems.
• Experience with SDR frameworks such as GNU Radio, REDHAWK, USRP/UHD, Epiq.
• Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for RF modeling or data analysis.
• C/C++ for embedded or systems-level applications.
• Experience with system integration, HWIL testing, and field demonstrations.
• Experience with tactical communications, SATCOM, radar, RF sensing, or EW systems.
• Strong technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on design, implementation, modeling, and HWIL testing of RF systems.
• Contribute to system development from design through field deployment.
• Collaborate with RF, software, hardware, cybersecurity, and systems engineers.
• Support field testing and customer demonstrations.
• Document findings and present to leadership and stakeholders.
