Job summary

Ramona Research is seeking a senior RF engineer to drive RF design across amplifiers, transceivers, and full system integration. You will design, simulate, and verify performance from 100 MHz to 16 GHz, handling 5W to 250W in a fast-paced aerospace/defense environment.

The role requires hands-on use of Microwave Office, PADS, SolidWorks, and Spectrum Analyzers, collaborating across engineering and manufacturing teams. Onsite in Poway, CA with immediate-start flexibility.

Qualifications

• Senior-level RF engineering experience in aerospace/defense or related fields.
• Strong background in low-noise and power amplifier design.
• Experience with transceivers and broad RF system design.
• Hands-on experience with Microwave Office, PADS, SolidWorks, Spectrum Analyzers, or equivalent tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills, independent contributor, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and test RF circuits including low-noise amplifiers, transceivers, and power amplifiers.
• Work across a broad frequency range: 100 MHz – 16 GHz, with power levels from 5W – 250W.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on full product line projects, from design to manufacturing.
• Utilize tools including Microwave Office, PADS, SolidWorks, and Spectrum Analyzers.
• Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.
• Must be available onsite in Poway, CA, and flexible for immediate start.
