CHAOS Industries in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Senior RF Engineer to design, analyze, integrate, and verify high‑reliability RF and microwave electronics for aerospace and defense. You will work within a cross‑functional, agile team across the full product lifecycle from architecture through post‑production sustainment.
This hands‑on hardware role emphasizes translating system requirements into robust RF implementations, lab measurements, and field testing, with simulations using HFSS/ADS/AWR
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years RF experience, or higher degrees.
- Hands-on RF test equipment experience (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters).
- Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance.
- Experience with RF PCB layout and impedance control.
Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and tune RF circuits using catalog MMICs such as LNAs, PAs, baluns, filters.
- Perform architecture studies to meet system RF performance.
- Plan and execute RF testing at board, module, and subsystem levels.
- Develop RF test equipment, fixtures, and automation.
- Collaborate with systems, power, digital, mechanical, and software teams.
- Support design reviews and field sustainment.
- Perform RF simulations using HFSS/ADS/AWR.
