Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Plymouth, MN seeks an Engineering Technician 4 to work on RF electronics prototype development, building, testing, and troubleshooting RF circuit boards, test fixtures and assemblies. You will collaborate with a wide engineering team to support design, development, and transition‑to‑production activities.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong record-keeping, and a safety‑minded approach.

Qualifications

• 6 years of electronics experience.
• Able to read schematics and drawings, follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic soldering skills and ability to earn IPC J-STD-001 certification with provided training.
• Familiarity with RF circuit test equipment including vector network analyzers, signal generators and analyzers.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools and shop equipment.
• Candidate must have the ability to acquire a Security Clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and provide proof of citizenship.
• Able to travel up to 25% of the time to support field testing.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and troubleshoot RF electronic circuit boards, test setups, cables, assemblies, and fixtures.
• Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks and collect technical data.
• Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings, and schematics.
• Perform preliminary analyses of data related to circuit and system performance and antenna characterization.
• Develop and refine assembly and test procedures and contribute ideas for improvements.
